Two-Way Conferencing consent |
Please complete this two-way conferencing consent form to give permission to video-conference in the event of a functional closure.
If your child requires adult support at home, use this form. |
preparedness |
This website is designed to give you the tools to check on your child and make sure they are keeping up with their studies. In the event that Woodward Hill is subject to a functional closure, I hope that this website will make it very easy to continue learning at home. I will be discussing this website and the resources with students when we return to school and all students are expected to be prepared for a switch at any time, and on very short notice. Please click here for tips on how to help support your child(ren) when learning at home.

Homework and homework checks |
I will rarely assign work specifically as homework. However, even when no homework is assigned, students are expected to complete all of the day's work (see below) as part of their regular routine.
Students keep a Planner in which they write their homework every day. Students are expected to show their planner to their parents and be prepared to show their parents every item listed in the planner. "I finished it at school," is not an excuse. The student should have brought all work home to show you. Parents should be able to check every item, and should sign the planner only if they are satisfied that every item is complete. |
daily routine and (home)work |
Every day, your child will be assigned:

Minor Language Arts Lesson: spelling (Monday and Friday), grammar (Tuesday and Thursday), and vocabulary (Wednesday). Library |
Ms. Bunker, the Woodward Hill Librarian, has kindly decided to allow students to take out up to 2 extra books from the library, on a case-by-case basis for those students who ask, just in case of a functional closure.
Also, please consider getting a membership with Surrey Public Libraries if you haven't already. |
